EFTS stands for Equivalent Full Time Student. This is the measure by which all tertiary education providers report student enrolments to the New Zealand government. The EFTS value of a paper indicates what proportion of a normal full-time programme of study the particular paper makes up.
Most universities in NZ have a 360 point undergraduate degree structure with 15 point courses at all levels equating to 0.125 EFTS. These include:

The exception to this is Otago University which offers 18 point courses which have a wvalue of 0.15 EFTS.Usually 1 point in an undergraduate degree at each of these universities is of equivalent value, i.e. 1 point at Canterbury = 1 point at Waikato.
