Haven’t heard from you for a couple of days! How is everything with you there now?
Fancy what I am going to tell you today! These days we have been high and excited for the celebration of the 100 th anniversary of the school. The whole school took on a new look before the grand ceremony. The campus was decorated with fresh flowers and a red carpet was rolled out for the celebration. Huge banners were hanging outside the school buildings. Colorful flags and balloons were seen flying high against the blue sky. The school band was standing at the gate, playing sweet melody to welcome the arrival of the guests. about 6000 alumni, including three academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, came back for the big occasion. On Oct. 24, we held a big evening party on the school playground, singing, dancing and cheering! Just fantastic!
As a student of Xiaoshi High, I really take pride in our school. Therefore, I should cherish the opportunity of being able to study here. I am sure I can live up to the expectations of our school. I hope I can bring some glory to our school in the future.
