As far as I‘m concerned, I don't these two things are separated. Both knowledge and practical skills are important. When you want to put your major into practice, you must have enough knowledge about your major. However, many colleges in China focus on the teaching of major knowledge but pay less attention to the practical skills. So, in my opinion, after enough major knowledge, we should pay more attenion to the practical skills. We should learn how to tranform our knowledge into practice. Don't learn knowledge just for the examination.
In a word, we should pay attenion to both knowledge and practical skills. Both of them will be useful for our future work.
