Guido van Rossum，Python之父，就是他用一部英国喜剧《蒙提·派森的飞行马戏团》（Monty Python and the Flying Circus）命名了这门语言。1989年，他在荷兰创造了Python（果然名字里有Van的都是荷兰人吗）；
1991年初，Python发布了第一个公开发行版，而后，被无数程序员所使用。
在Python社区，他被人称为“仁慈的独裁者”（Benevolent Dictator For Life），据说这一名字也是取自那部电视剧。
传说Guido当年去Google面试，简历上只写了一句话：I wrote Python。结果HR没能理解，知道面试到第10轮才反应过来这个人是Python的作者，而不是只是“写过”Python程序。
这个事情的真实性含量极低，Guido去Google工作的时候已经是名声在外的业界大牛了，更太不可能要经过10轮面试。去Google搜索一下“i wrote Python”，发现都是国内网站上的消息。估计这多半是国内某大V在社交媒体上一时兴起写出的段子吧。

大意就是说，某些有眼不识泰山的猎头发邮件给他，说我们从网上看到你的简历，觉得你Python用得不错，我们有客户正在招Python程序员，你有空来试试吧？
