near的比较级和最高级

near的比较级和最高级分别为nearer和nearest。near可作形容词、副词、介词和动词。作形容词时，意为不久以后、不远；作副词时，意为在附近、差不多；作介词时，意为大约、在…附近；作动词时，意为接近、临近等。

1、当near作为形容词时，意为距离近;不远;不久以后;随后;接近。

例句：His house is very near.

他的房子就在附近。

The conflict is unlikely to be resolved in the near future .

冲突短期内不可能解决。

2、当near作为副词时，意为距离不远;在附近;不久以后;几乎;差不多。

例句：Visitors came from near and far .

游客来自四面八方。

The exams are drawing near .

考试越来越近了。

3、当near作为介词时，意为在…附近;靠近;接近;临近;(用于数词前)大约，上下。

例句：Go and sit nearer (to) the fire.

坐得靠炉子近点儿。

My birthday is very near Christmas.

4、当near作为动词时，意为接近，靠近，临近。

例句：We neared the top of the hill.

我们快到山顶了。

The project is nearing completion .

例句：I came nearer to his room, I listened but heard nothing.
