legitimate和legal区别

Legal和legitimate这两个字的意思其实都差不多的，都有合法的；法律认可的等意思，但区别是在于这两个字的用法里。legitimate一般都是用在和法律有关的句子里，例如吸毒是违法的. Using drugs is legal (not legal).这在以上的句子里，是不可以用 legitimate来代替legal的。而Legitimate 这个词呢，一般用于生活上非正式场合的合理，例如他迟到有合理的理由.He had a legitimate reason for being late.那么在这句话里也是不可以用 legal 来代替 legitimate。
