中国教育部直属高等美术学校
中央美术学院（简称“央美”，英文名：Central Academy of Fine Arts）是中国教育部直属的唯一一所高等美术学校，也是中国现代美术教育的开端。学院坐落于北京市及河北省三河市，前身是国立北京美术学校，于1918年始建。 该校催生了中国最早的美术学制，开创了中国最早的书法、设计、建筑等大学学科，是现代以来中国美术高等教育的奠基者。
Central Academy of Fine Arts
Higher art schools directly under the Ministry of Education of China
The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) is the only college of Fine Arts directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is also the beginning of modern Fine Arts education in China. The Academy is located in Beijing and Sanhe City, Hebei Province, formerly known as the National Beijing School of Fine Arts, which was founded in 1918. The university has given birth to the earliest art education system in China and created the earliest university disciplines such as calligraphy, design and architecture. It is the founder of the higher education of fine arts in China since modern times.
