12月16日，博鳌亚洲论坛秘书长李保东在成都会见四川省省长黄强，就论坛与四川友好合作进行工作交流。黄强省长介绍了四川近年来经济社会发展情况以及成渝双城经济圈建设成果。感谢论坛对四川省工作的支持，特别是不久前做出特殊安排，邀请其出席论坛理事会。四川目前正在积极贯彻新发展理念，构建新发展格局，希望论坛积极考虑在成都举办全球城市绿色发展与乡村振兴论坛。
李保东秘书长祝贺四川省委省政府统筹疫情防控和经济社会发展取得的成就。感谢四川省长期以来对论坛工作的支持，特别是为论坛举办理事会所做的大量前期工作。四川人杰地灵，资源丰富，论坛愿进一步深化与四川省的友好合作，包括合作在川举办论坛活动，共同为全球可持续发展做出贡献。
On December 16, Secretary General Li Baodong met with Governor Huang Qiang of Sichuan Province in the City of Chengdu and exchanged ideas on the cooperation between the Forum and Sichuan. Governor Huang briefed Li on the achievements of Sichuan in social and economic development, especially in the Construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. Huang thanked for the support of BFA, particularly the invitation for him to attend the Working Meeting of BFA Board. Huang explained that Sichuan is comprehensively implementing the new development philosophy, and integrating into the new development paradigm. Huang also sought the possibility that the BFA hold its Global Urban and Rural Development Forum in the City of Chengdu.
Seretary General Li Baodong congratulated on the achievements of Sichuan in fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic as well as in social and economic development. Li thanked Sichuan for its continuous support, especially the various preparation work rendered for BFA’s Board Meeting. Li expressed the willingness of the BFA to enhance its cooperation with Sichuan Province which is endowed with excellent people and abundant resources, including carrying out BFA functions in partnership with Sichuan, in order to contribute to global sustainable development jointly.
