what is the change of the status of women in British colony

The Industrial Revolution was the rise of women's status。Before women stayed home and do the inside tasks and men do the outside tasks,both gender roles do different things to support the family。Men see women as the weak character in the society,for example the employers paid the wages/slaries less than men even the women did the tasks more than men。It caused men often compete with women for factory jobs。Men observed the issue that women were often preferred by factory owners who could more easily overwork and underpay them。The peope realised women can also work as hard as men and people changed their view positively towards the women。
