As one of the first batch of experimental cities( Nanning,Liuzhou and Wuzhou),Liuzhou has achieved remarkable results in rudimentary medical insurance for urban residents。In fact,to achieve this goal also encounters many obstacles。This article makes a critical analysis on certain major problems and their corresponding causesin the rudimentary medical insurance for urban residents in Liuzhou,for example,the lack of medium for intercommunication and serving awareness of medical insurers。Moreover,this article has also applied theoratical knowledge based on the actual situation ,and introduced suggestions and measures of enhancing information exchange and improving serving awareness,in order to further support the rudimentary medical insurance work ,facilitate the developmet of Liuzhou social medical insurance system and extend its coverage to benefit suburban residents。
