what is the primary medium for all language,is it writing?

Writing is NOT the primary medium of all languages。The primary medium of all languages is speech。Speech comes before writing。This must be so for reasons which include the following:- Historically writing developed after the spoken language;- Writing does not exist everywhere that spoken language exists;- Writing has to be taught,whereas spoken language is acquired naturally。
