这两个词都是表示“横越”、“渡过”之意,在拼写上仅差一字之微,故很易混淆。它们的区别在于词性和使用场合有所不同。across是介词；cross是动词。

crossing是“渡口”、“横道线”或“（铁路与公路的）交叉点”。如：
The Star Ferry Pier is a ferry crossing in central．
