09年12月20日雅思大作文 请大侠们指正和评分 Nowadays some organizations and charities publicize their activities by introducing special days every year like national children's day and non-smoking day.Why do they introduce special days and what effects does this have?Write at least 250 words.Signatures and symbols are flooding to our society everywhere,so special days naturally come to emerge either to memorise a particular event or set up milestones for specific progress along the road of developing.The phenomenon in its original purpose is worthy appreciating,nevertheless,it's often manipulated distortedly by mass organizations.Naming a common day by adding meaningful contents just as "International AIDS Day "does have reasons to stand and the followings showed in three aspects:On one hand,communities need concrete interpretations for some unusual occasions to leave marks in the long river of history,thus organizations walk out and meet the demands of the society.For instance,"May 4the Movement" in China was memorized by setting May 4th as "National Youth Day",and the special youth day still keeps its popularity among the years before.On the other hand,particular days are recognized to help charities and associations to raise funds.Usually,on that day,exhibitions and demonstrations will be held to illustrate the importance of relevant issues like global warming,land deforestation and air pollution,in order to teach people to behave friendly to surroundings and give economic support to the projects undergone.Finally,a named day shows a sense of living power,distinguished from other ordinary days,often expresses spiritual feelings about the theme.In my country there is "Drug Resisting Day" when people expose extreme hatred to drugs,moreover,warning others especially youth to stay away from illegal intakes.The starting point of setting featured day is fairly good,in turn,the day does play a positive part in forming certain views towards such topics as violence,sex,as well as natural resources.Through it raises our thinking level,meanwhile are we more willing to shoulder the responsibilities of society,and even that of our nation.However,the amount of days of this kind should be controlled in an acceptable boundary,never too many,or there would be unique days all year round that we should have to struggle to find to a common day to spend with.错了、、、是08年12月20日我的博客有更多好东东噢,
