how to type Chinese in Ubuntu 10.04

how to type Chinese in Ubuntu 10.04I can't type in Chinese,but the Chinese language package has been installed,and I can turn on ibus with ctrl+space,but i can't type any Chinese in my windowWhat do i suppose to do?I am a Chinese,and I have installed ibus,I can turn on ibus,but type no character in my box someone say it is something associated with the 3D desktop and I can solve it by changing the font of Chinese,but which font should I use?我删除了ibus,然后重装了ibus就好了
