定语从句中选择题,是看先行词在主句中的成分,还是在从句中的成分呢?

看先行词在从句中所作的成分。例如This is the factory which/ that we visited last week。这里先行词the factory 在从句中作宾语,关系词就用代词；This is the factory where we worked last week。这里先行词the factory 在从句中作地点状语,关系词就用副词where,相当于in which 再问： 那如This is the very bus that i am waiting for 中先行词the bus不是做从句的宾语么。怎么答案会是定语呢？ 再答： 先行词the bus是做从句的宾语，其实就是 I am waiting for the bus。 在复合句中，修饰一定的名词或代词的从句，就是定语从句。 被修饰的名词或代词是先行词。 这里 that i am waiting for 定语从句修饰先行词 the bus ，很符合语法。
