英语翻译A.The Physical resourcesAn overview of the physical resources is necessary tounderstand the implemented approach discussed in thispaper.For the initial requirements of the physical cell,two types of stages were identified:an integrated 3Degree of freedom (DOF) stage,which is used tocontrol a mobile work area as needed.The second stage(with one linear DOF,referred to as ITS) is used tocontrol positional movement of the micro gripper.Thepart handling resources include micro grippers (fromZyvex Corporation); A work piece supporting platenrests on the integrated 3 DOF micro-assembly stage.Afixture was designed to support the gripper on the ITS.Cameras with microscopic lens are used to recognizepart movement,identify features or devices in a scene,etc.in order to monitor,verify and provide feedbackrelated to the accomplishment of an assigned set ofcommands or tasks (issued by a user in the physical orvirtual world).The Integrated Translation Stage iscapable of relative positioning of the WSP and themicro gripper beneath the camera and for finemaneuvering during assembly.An Enterprise levelTask Manager (ETM) coordinates the overall activitiesincluding the interfaces between the Virtual AssemblyEnvironment (VAE) and the Physical work cell and thecommunication between the VAE and the distributedpath planning resources.One of the targeted assemblytasks involved placing pins in holes (figure 4).Tomimic the modeled scenario,the VAE,ETM and path492planning modules were hosted on various computerslinked via the Internet; the physical work cell wascontrolled by another PC which was also linked to theETM.
