从属连词和连接副词是什么关系

从属连词,就是连接从句的连词,如 He was late because he didn‘t catch the early bus (= 他迟到了,因为他没赶上早班汽车) 中的 because 就是从属连词,它引导了一个表示原因的状语从句；如果将上句写成 He didn't catch the early bus ,so he was late。句中的 so 却不是从属连词,而是并列连词,它只表示两个单句并列,谁也不做谁的成分；连接副词,就是在做状语的同时,也引导定语从句,如 He lives where his grandfather used to live (= 他住在他爷爷原来居住的地方) 中的 where 就是连接副词,做前面 lives 的状语,也引导定语从句 where his grandfather used to live；如果将上句写成 He lives in the place where his grandfather used to live。这样句中的 where 就不是连接副词,而是关系副词,因为它只引导定语从句,而不充当前面的状语。
