English faced a lot of problems when it first landed in asia。one of the most affected country is China。Due to the large surface area of the country,english has been characterised by different people at different places。English is not the mother tongue of the Chinese。most of them get to know chinese only at primary school or even secondary school。the english teachers are also locals,thus it has been greatly modified in both pronounciation and language wise。for pronounciation,the westerners pronounce the letters with a soft ending,though the ending does have a sound。but the chinese pronounce the word with an ending that is very loud as compared to the westerner way。the westerners also speak very fast and sometimes syllables gets "eaten" up。however,the chinese speak word by word and sometimes takes time to ponder between sentences。In terms of grammer and sentence structure,inevitably it will get modified towards the chinese language。for example," It is 10。30 pm now" may become "now is 10。30pm"。the same also goes to chinese in the western countries。a lot of chinese are now being sent overseas for studies and work purposes,perhaps in the near future,these talents can return home and bring back the right way of using the english language。
