the other:是其中的“另一个”,加复数。如I have two aunts; one lives in Tokyo and the other in Osaka。我有两个姑妈；一个住在东京,另一个住在大阪。another指另外不确定的,如I don’t like this one。Please show me another。我不喜欢这一个,请给我看看另一个。other加复数即为others。如 other pencils 其它的铅笔,other students=others 其他的学生
