北京奥运会——我的骄傲On Aug。 24th , as the curtain dropped signaling the end of the the Games of the 29th Olympiad, people were left with a deep impression of the joy and excitement it had brought。Not only we Chinese people,but also people around the world could not forgot the 16 glorious days which we will cherish forever。 Gratulations and praise began to flood in。We could feel the world is truly proud of the Beijing Olympic Games。As a Beijinger , I could see how Beijing was changed by the Olympics。 People became more aware of their behaviors and the number of people who goes to foreign language classes grew rapidly through out the last 7 years。 No cutting in lines, nor spitting on the floor。 There were hard times for people with these habits to make a change, but they did not complain。 People around the globe can now find Beijing open to them as we cherish every guest from near or far just like what our great sage of Confucius had taught thousands of years ago。 A visit to Beijing can be as comfortable as staying at a friend’s house, but far more exciting。 Even little children can speak simple sentences in English so it is possible for you to walk around just like in your own country。More over, except the usually seen Forbidden Palace, the Great Wall and many other historical sights。 Beijing now has many of its new and unique architectures which are just as popular as those with ages。 New legends there of how athletes reached their extremes will be told as well as those old ones about great people in history。 Beijing is therefore ,not only famous for its past ,but also its present。 All those fantastic architectures like the Water Cube or the Birds’ Nest are like solid paeans to modern China。Splendors in the ceremonies is only the outside part of the truly exceptional Beijing Olympic games。 What really excites me are the changes inside Beijing。
