英语翻译Woolpert LLP,the City of Mason,the Mason Parks & Recreation Department,parks masterplan Steering Committee,athletics program representatives and residents are engaged in amaster planning process for seven new park properties and the Muddy Creek GreenwayCorridor for the City of Mason.The new park properties add 261 acres to the City’s currentpark system of 242 acres and represent a significant expansion of park and recreationfacilities available to the community and athletics associations.Upon completion,theproposed park improvements will result in greater distribution of park lands and facilitieswithin the City.The Muddy Creek Greenway Corridor is intended to create connectivitybetween both existing and new parklands as access along the corridor is obtained anddevelopment standards within the floodway are implemented.The master planning process has assessed the strengths and needs of the existing park system,and identified the opportunities and constraints associated with each new park property in thecontext of the whole system.Meetings with both the Steering Committee and the generalpublic provided on-going input at both the program development and planning phase.TheSteering Committee is composed of members of the Park & Recreation Advisory Board andrepresentatives from the Parks & Recreation Department.Two rounds of Community-wide park planning meetings were conducted in May,2004.TheKickoff Workshop in early May solicited community input on strengths and needs of the parksystem,and issues to be addressed through development of the new sites.A two-dayworkshop,late in the month allowed citizens to review and comment on analysis of the sitesand opportunities and constraints to development.Participants identified and prioritizedprograms and facilities for the parks and sketched plan concepts of their vision for each park.
