任何一本讲英语写作的书里都会有。
这叫用时间顺序法叙述事物。我们常用到一些过渡词(transitional words)。下列一些词是常用的过渡词应该熟记：
first,second,third,next,last,then,finally,meanwhile,after,afterwards,after a While,as soon as,as,at first,at once,at the beginning,at the moment,at the same time,before,earlier,in the beginning,in the course of,in the end,in the meantime,later,later on,next,meanwhile,no sooner。。。than,now,recently,since,since then,soon,subsequently,then,until,when,while
除此以外,另有一些具体的时间状语,可充当过渡词,如：
in January,in February,on Monday,on Tuesday,on the morning of…,in l949,in summer,today,yesterday,the day before yesterday,the week before last等等
