什么叫集合名词

一群相似也相关的个体结合而成的集合体的名称称为集合名词。
如：family家庭,police警察,cattle牛,clothing衣服,jewelry珠宝。
The class has elected its leader。
这个班选出了它的班长。
The class are interested in his lecture。
（——集合名词指整体时为单数名词,用单数动词；指整体构成分子时为复数
名词,用复数动词。——）
I saw a ghost on my way home last night。
昨天回家的路上我看见一个鬼。
Don't believe a word he is saying;it's all a pack of lies。
他说的话一点也别信,那全是一派胡言。
