1)make persons known by name to one another：介绍，表示“把……介绍给……”常用下列结构：introduce sb. to sb. ，其中“to sb. ”也可省略。例如：

在欢迎会上，他给我们介绍了一位新老师。
②At the beginning of the class, the teacher usually says, “Let me introduce myself to you first. ”
