有。as可以引导时间状语从句，此时as译作“当……时候”，可以放在主句之前，也可以放在主句之后。as可以引导原因状语从句，此时as译作“因为，由于”，一般放在句首，语气较弱，较口语化。
as long as 是介词短语，一般接句子
1.As long as arranging the time reasonably,we are sure to benefit more from recreational activities.(08年6月CET-4里的.)
其中的arranging ，并不是说该词后加动词ing形式，arranging 是句子arranging the time reasonably中的部分，是独立主格形式，它不能看作是as long as后加动名词。
2.as long as it isn't boring就是一个例子，而As long as do not rain!实际上是省略句，省略了it ，完整的用法是As long as it do not rain!至于什么时候省略，随着英语学习的加深，自然能够形成这种语感。
as long as其实有三个意思：
1) 只要 = so long as = while
如：You'll succeed as long as you work hard.
只要你好好学习,你就会成功的.
2）(长度上)和...一样长 / 长至...(程度)/ 长达...
如：The room is as long as 10 meters.
这个房间长达10米.
3）(时间上)和...一样久 / 久至.../ 长达...
如：I've lived here as long as 20 years.
我在此处居住长达20年之久.
as long as有三个用法:
1.During the time that (在这段时间):I'll stay as long as you need me.
2.Since (既然) :As long as you've offered,I accept.
3.On the condition that (条件是):I will cooperate as long as I am notified on time.
