spend是及物动词还是不及物动词

spend既是及物动词也是不及物动词，作及物动词时意为“度过，消磨（时光）；花费；浪费；用尽”，作不及物动词时意为“花钱；用尽，耗尽”。spend还可以用作名词，作名词时意为“预算”。

常用于以下结构：

1、spend time ／money on sth.在……上花费时间（金钱）

例：I spent two hours on this maths problem.这道数学题花了我两个小时。

2、spend time ／money (in) doing sth.花费时间（金钱）做某事

例：They spent two years (in) building this bridge.造这座桥花了他们两年时间。

3、spend money for sth.花钱买……

例：His money was spent for books.他的钱用来买书了。

I spent what little time I had with my family.

我仅有的一点儿时间都和家人在一起度过了。

The money could be better spent on more urgent cases.

这笔钱用于较紧迫的事情也许会好些。

I spent most time on the first question.

我在第一个问题上花的时间最多。
