can not, cannot就是can的否定形式，美国习惯分开些，英国一般连写。cannot是“不可以”，而can not是“可以不”。cannot和can not都是书面语，不过can not语气更加强烈。

二、can not
can not but + 动词原形，意思是不能不；不得不；只好；却不能不；那么你就不能不。
例如：
We can not but allow you200 cases
