Mrs. Hunt is sixty years old. She lives in a farmhouse in the country with her dog Bill. Her son Sam is twenty-one years old. At first, he works in a shop in the country and lives with his mother. But now he finds new work in a town and lives there. It’s quite a long way from his mother’s house. She isn’t happy about this. Sam says, “There isn’t any good work for me in the country, mother, and I can get a lot of money in the town and give you some every week.”
